About TGMDev
TGMDev is an independent software-development project dedicated to Windows freeware and C++ programming resources.
The website has been online since 2000 and contains applications developed over many years for experimentation, learning and practical use. The available software includes Windows utilities, games, mathematical recreations and process-control tools.
The applications are developed in C++ and are distributed as freeware. TGMDev is a personal, non-commercial project and does not sell software.

Hello. My name is Thierry. I am now a happy retiree...
My programming journey began in the 1970s with programmable pocket calculators. It involved tackling challenges such as calculating Pi to as many decimal places as possible, despite very limited memory. Those were the days!
Later, I worked in a nuclear chemistry laboratory, where I wrote programs (in HP basic) for data processing. This program eliminated the tedious task of manually entering vast amounts of data and reduced processing time from two hours to just a few minutes‚ all in a fully automated manner.
After successful studies in biochemistry, I worked in the research laboratory where, besides my scientific work, I developed applications such as scientific papers database, fermenter automation systems, and data processing tools.
I then dedicated the next thirty years to the design, development, and validation of automation applications for pharmaceutical processes (fermentation, automated fermentors feeding, sterilization, mass spectrometer automation and data processing, chemical reactors, distillation, ultrapure water treatment, etc.), as well as to C++ programming (automation hardware and software databases), right up until my retirement.
Throughout those years, I spent my free time creating the web site and programming in C, and later C++, for projects spanning various fields of interest (Sudoku, Windows internals, Number Theory, mathematics, ...). When I'm not programming, I enjoy solving math problems, reading books on science and history, learning cybersecurity, listening to blues and rock music, cycling, swimming and a little gardening...
